The End of an Era

Hello everyone, this is Kaitlynn, or as y'all know me, "the Katie". I've been behind this blog for about 3 years now (ever since the first post with Linnette in June of 2018), and I feel that now is the time for it to come to a close. Recently, instead of feeling like writing posts on here and making videos on the YouTube channel have been a fun hobby, it's been like a "chore" or a "task" that I have to do every weekend. I think that the time in my life as a content creator has come and gone, and now it is time for me to move on to doing other things in my free time.

Another reason why I have come to the decision to ultimately end the blog is because I'm actually going into high school this fall. I started the blog the summer before 6th grade/the start of middle school, and I was a sort of different person with much different interests back then. I liked to write a lot about my pug (Linnette), and I enjoyed doing narratives in her perspective. (That was actually why I started the blog: my 4th grade history/science teacher who had seen my writing suggested I start an online space where I could publish my work.) Anyways, my interests have changed, and I want to be able to take my focus away from writing narratives and instead turn my attention to doing high school things like writing in different formats, getting used to the idea of high school in general, PSAT prep, etc. etc. I also kinda don't want my email name to be "Claire Bear" anymore since I have to use it to sign up for volunteering opportunities and eventually use it for job application.

I'm not going to take down any posts from the blog, but I did change my Google name and consequently the YouTube channel name to my actual name. I also privated all of the channel's videos, so I'm sorry if those were still videos that you enjoyed to view/rewatch. Anyways, I'm off to do bigger and better things now, bye!
