The Katie abandoned us and it is hot.
Hello everyone; today I have some terrible news: the Katie abandoned us. She left us for an entire 4 hours to go hang out with her friends. Can you believe this?! I cannot understand why she would ever want to hang out with anybody else but me and Rosie. We made sure to make our feelings clear to the Katie when she came back home, me by grunting loudly and Rosie by absolutely refusing to follow any commands that the Katie gave her. In fact, Rosie made sure to really tell everyone how bad she had it by refusing to even do her business in the backyard all day today. I mean, I thought that I was a persistent protester of the hoomans leaving us for anything, but Rosie sure is more hardcore about it. At least she didn't come back smelling like another dog, because that would've really just made the entire situation even worse.
Anyways, on the other hand, it has finally stopped raining and started heating up. See, for the last 3 weeks, us Texans have been receiving very nice, cool weather, but very long, wet rains. While I do like cooler weather, I don't like the rain, as I am a very sophisticated little pug who cannot bear to get her paws wet. As I was saying, the rain has stopped recently, but it has also begun to be unbearably hot. Since I'm a very fluffy pug with a full double coat, the heat and I do not mix well. Although I have lived in Texas for a good part of my life, I am still not used to the amount of heat that the sun can give off around these parts. In fact, during the summer, I spend a good portion of my days under a fan whilst laying on my side on the couch. I still can't understand how Rosie still likes to play outside even in triple digit temperatures. Maybe all the heat has fried her brain.
